In the latest edition of their U.S. News and World Report opinion column, “Economic Intelligence,” Senior Policy Scholar Robert Hahn and co-author Peter Passell discuss the evolution of the Chinese healthcare system.
Drs. Hahn and Passell highlight:
China’s per capita income (in terms of purchasing power) is just $9,000. Yet it already has a healthcare system that delivers better care to a larger portion of its population than a dozen countries with twice the living standard.
