On December 11th, the Center hosted, “From Ideology to Practicalities: Policies to Stimulate the 21st Century Economy,” in the Russell Senate Office Building.  Senator Mark Warner of Virginia joined Center Scholars on the program, and gave a keynote speech outlining a six point plan for economic growth.  The program continued on to highlight several Center Scholars and their areas of expertise.  Each scholar was tasked with the questions, “what do we know about economic policy? and more importantly, what do we need to know?”  Areas of public policy covered included: trade, macroeconomics, energy, the environment, innovation and telecommunications.
