Center hosted spectrum auction policy event May 14

On May 14th, the Center hosted another in its series of Georgetown on the Hill forums focused on telecommunications policy. The forum entitled, Spectrum Auction Policy:Potential Outcomes for Economic Growth and Public Safety brought Senior Policy Scholar Rob Shapiro and co-author Douglas Holtz-Eakin to the Rayburn building to discsuss their recent paper on spectrum auctions (available here). The research identifies economic effects associated with limiting bidder participation and/ or handicapping incentive auction outcomes.

The audience included Hill staff, FCC, industry, academics and the press.
