Policy in Focus

Energy & the Environment

Georgetown Center Scholars examine energy & the environment through an economic lens, focusing on the role of public policy and regulation. By examining the costs, both monetary and environmental, of legislation, these scholars advocate a level-headed approach that improves the environment while also remaining practical in the real world.

Globalization & the International Economy

Georgetown Center Scholars study the interplay between U.S. businesses, policy and the international economy. Particularly as businesses have an increasingly large global footprint, it’s important to have a firm understanding of how policy, both U.S. and international, trade and innovation are changing the landscape of how businesses and workers compete.

Telecommunications Policy

Georgetown Center Scholars focus on many areas within telecommunications: wireless developments, broadband deployment, spectrum policy, competition policy and more. By examining these topics with a rigorous economic and econometric framework, our Scholar’s work has been used as a basis for public policy.
