Downes testifies before Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation on broadband infrastructure investment

On Wednesday, May 3, 2017, Larry Downes testified in a hearing titled "Investing in America’s Broadband Infrastructure: Exploring Ways to Reduce Barriers to Deployment" before the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation. The hearing was convened by U.S. Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.), committee chairman. The hearing explored solutions to streamline broadband deployment and infrastructure especially in rural areas, and how to encourage private investment in next-generation telecommunications services.
