In mid March, CBPP hosted a group of graduate students from the University of Basel’s Zaeslin Program for Law and Economics. While here, the students attended lectures, presented their papers, and visited government offices and think tanks, including the Peterson Institute, the Swiss Embassy, the World Bank, and Cato. In addition, Norman Familant (Chief, Economic Litigation Section, Department of Justice) gave a presentation on campus that focused on the role of the DOJ Antitrust Division in promoting economic competition through enforcing and providing guidance on antitrust laws and principles.
