CBPP will host the annual Conference on Research in Income and Wealth (CRIW (new window)), co-organized by CBPP Senior Policy Scholar Carol Corrado. CRIW is administered by the National Bureau of Economic Research and its elected membership includes economists from government, academe, business, and non-profit organizations.

This year’s conference — Measuring and Accounting for Innovation in the 21st Century — will bring together academic researchers, staff from the statistical agencies, and members of the broader community studying and assessing innovation to advance the agenda of more completely and systematically accounting for innovative activity in national accounts and other economic statistics. While there have been significant efforts to measure individual pieces of the innovation economy, this conference will bring economists and national accountants more fully into this conversation.
