The Center for Business and Public Policy was honored to host Patrick Fuchs, member of the Surface Transportation Board (STB), at the first session of the MBA course Washington, Business, and the World for an engaging and candid conversation on navigating a career in public service, life on Capitol Hill, and lessons learned from his time in Washington.

The Surface Transportation Board, an independent federal agency, plays a pivotal role in overseeing freight rail, passenger rail, and other critical matters of surface transportation like intercity busses. Building on this technical expertise and drawing from his own experiences, Fuchs gave students a unique glimpse into the human side of policymaking and the nuances of working in the nation’s capital.

We’re grateful to Fuchs for sharing his wisdom and humor with the CBPP community. Stay tuned for more events as we continue to explore the people, policies, and perspectives shaping business and public policy today.
