Tim DeStefano’s paper “Robots and export quality” is forthcoming for publication in the Journal of Development Economics. 

This paper provides causal evidence that robots increase export quality, particularly amongst developing countries. Moreover, the study finds that the diffusion of robots at home is driven by robot use amongst foreign customers abroad.
