John Mayo joins AT&T Policy Forum panel on 5G deployment for Mexico

Center Executive Director John Mayo was a featured panelist at the virtual AT&T Policy Forum: The Deployment of Technology with a Purpose on April 29, 2022.

The panel was moderated by Jake E. Jennings, Head of Global Trade Policy, AT&T. Panelists included:

• Elena Estavillo, CEO, Centro-i para la Sociedad del Futuro
• John Mayo, Executive Director, Georgetown Center for Business and Public Policy
• Verena Weber, Head of the Communication Infrastructures and Services Policy Unit, OECD

They discussed the investment and regulatory policies needed to promote the deployment of 5G and the supporting echo system. Topics included the importance of 5G deployment in Mexico, the future challenges of deployment associated with the current public policies, and the benefits that this new technology will bring to the country.
