- Fiber continues to be critical for digital infrastructure but so is spectrum and electricity.
- AI will exacerbate the proliferation of data centers.
- The U.S. could be limiting the positive impact of BEAD funding by putting so many conditions on the funding.
- State and federal officials are not aligned to how BEAD funding should be used, and this could blunt the impact of the investments.
- Bill raised the issue of fiber not being the best solution in every situation such as in rural areas that can be served more quickly and efficiently with satellite or mobile.
